You are currently viewing the userpage of IllusionistAria (more commonly known as Aria - but that username was taken >.<) -_-". Basically Aria is an angsty, bad-tempered, antisocial 15 year old girl who is Singaporean by nationality, Chinese by birth but currently lives in polluted Hong Kong. She's still fairly bad in wallpaper design, so bear with her crappy work but don't refrain from constructive criticsm! She will really appreciate some good feedback. ^^

Quote by IllusionistAriaMe is off to summer school soon! Have fun with your new school term, and don't kill yourself on the Os too much! (I survived the GCSEs after all, so don't get too stressed, k? You'll do awesome.) Remember to mail me as much as possible (or I'll spam you to death! XD) and I'll postcard you once I get the chance! <3
Don't forget to send me the photos of Serana in a dress. ;) Hehehe!

You survived your GCSEs so now it's time for me to survive my pre-GCEs and the GCEs themselves. Haha ^^

Like I've said, if you want better resolutions of the photos, you can always email me. See you around sometime! :)

T_________________________T 1 week is too short!

just got back yesterday and i am already trying to adjust to life in the slow lane again XD
first thing i noticed when i got off the plane was how humid it was. lol you said 10 degrees but it was almost 25 ish and being from a place that still has snow on the ground, it was painful XD
then i noticed that locals walk very fast. do you walk fast?
then i noticed that school kids are still walking around in their uniforms at 11pm XD
but i really like the pace of HK when compared to toronto, which is very underpopulated and slow

about buying stuff, you are so lucky to live in HK cause there is no tax O__O on anything.... O_____O;;;;
and everything is so cheap >___< even at bossini and giordano they have deals and stuff. addidas shoes for only 400 HK$?!?!? thats only 60 or so canada dollars and its guaranteed that you wont find something like that in canada.
only places that we saw were a little more expensive was anything in Sogo XD
we didnt even bother looking at the Versace/Gucci chain stores XP

basically most of the time was spent visiting relatives etc but a family friend guided us for a couple of days. we took a day trip to Macau and saw those bakeries with the almond cookies.
btw did you follow the korean epic Da Chang Jeen?
we saw this life size cardboard cutout of her in a shop in the Roman part of a collection of buildings themed after different time periods and cultures.

we went to fa yeurn gai (in wong kok) nothing like it in toronto. tons of stuff to buy there ^^

also looked at stanely market, which seems to have the highest concentration of tourists.

lol worst mistake was to go to times square.. on a sunday >_<;; basically the amount of people just walking there is the population of toronto XD

went to chai wan to see my uncle. the atmosphere is definitely different when you get off the subway (aside from the fact the suicide prevention system is not there XD)
much more green leaves here. we went to the mountain of graves to see my grandpas grave and the view from climbing up the rows is amazing.

i went to new territories to see my aunt and the atmostphere is similar to chai wan, out of the city and lots of greenery.

didnt get to see the bhudda or disneyland or ocean park so i will come back for sure =P

ps. i can upload pictures from the trip
pps. i just remembered that while we were walking on nathan road, there are 3 Walker Shop chains spread out selling the exact same things O__O

we borrowed Da Chang Jin from a relative and i thought the plot was awesome. i've seen plenty of series based in ancient settings but this one takes the prize XD almost every detail seems to have been thought out and the set and costumes were amazing.
only thing they should have left out i think, was the part at the end when the emperor said he liked chang jin....a little creepy considering he was already fully grown when she was still a kid ^_^;;;;;

about macau, i think the culture there is pretty interesting with the merge of portugese architecture, the church ruins, and colourful buildings. lol and one thing i noticed is that the roads are so thin >_< i dont know what everyone would do if they didnt own all those motorcycles XD

! i almost forgot, i saw the light show too! >___< i was pretty excited about it and it was pretty good too but i didnt know the lasers were only green. but the bank of china tower easily was the best one in the show XD

the walker shops are on nathan road in Tsim Sa Tsui, but there are tons of shops along that stretch too. lol i remeber that cause the first thing we did after getting off the plane (at 11pm ^^;;;;) was go there and start looking at shops XP

lol for the photos, i gota figure out the new camera my family bought XD
hopefully today or tomorrow ^^

Quote by IllusionistAriaIt's a beautiful piece of work with really beautiful colors and texture. The composition is excellent, as well, and I really love what you've done with the scan - the pool idea is fantastic. The typeface is also nicely done, though you could have added a blurry effect to "The Two Towers" as well to make it match with the text below?

Your sparkles and background are really well done. The long glowing strand (the northern light/aurora borealis strand) seems a bit out of place and random though. Maybe you could make it so that it encircles Belldandy a bit more, or blend out the edges? It might look nice without it as well.

You've done a really fantastic job! +Fave :D I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Hehe, yeah, I thought so too about the aurora borealis. I'll edit it if I have the chance. Thanks! :D
